Norwalk man arrested for sexually assaulting an 8-year-old girl

NORWALK, CT (WFSB) – A 56-year-old Norwalk man was arrested after sexually assaulting a child.

On September 29, 2024, patrol officers were dispatched to the report of a sexual assault involving an 8-year-old girl.

The Special Victims Unit initiated the investigation and found probable cause to arrest Armando Cruz-Zambrano.

On November 5, 2024, Cruz-Zambrano was stopped on East Avenue and arrested without incident.

Cruz-Zambrano was charged with first-degree sexual assault, illegal sexual contact with a victim under 16, third-degree assault and interfering with an emergency call.

He is currently out on bail of $2,00,000 and will appear in court on November 19, 2024.
