iSTEM School Announces New CEO/Superintendent

The iSTEM School Board of Trustees announced the selection of Allen Wilson as the school’s new CEO and superintendent, effective August 1.

Wilson will succeed Tamee Tucker, who will retire at the end of the current school year after years of dedicated service and invaluable contributions to the institution, officials said.

“We are thrilled to welcome Allen Wilson to the iSTEM community,” said Anthony Podojil, Chairman of the iSTEM Board of Directors. “Tamee has led iSTEM to a remarkable season of growth and success, and we are confident in Allen’s leadership for iSTEM’s next chapter.” »

According to the board, Wilson brings more than two decades of experience in education, including seven years in leadership roles.

His most recent position was as career technical supervisor and director of student services at the RG Drage Career Center in Canton, where he managed a staff of 80, oversaw an $11 million budget, and led various initiatives aimed at improve learning and student support services.

Wilson holds a master’s degree from the University of Cincinnati and a superintendent’s license from Ashland University, and “has a proven track record of promoting academic excellence and innovation,” the board said.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Wilson actively participated in educational conferences and advisory committees, “demonstrating his commitment to the field of education.”

Wilson said he was honored to join the Painesville-based school.

“I look forward to building on the foundation established by Tamee Tucker and working with the talented iSTEM team to continue to provide exceptional educational opportunities for our students,” he added.
