Historic sites in Fars province ready to host major events

TEHRAN – More and more historical and cultural places in Fars province have been equipped to host important national and international events, a local official noted.

On Saturday, during a visit to Saadi’s mausoleum, provincial tourism chief Mohammad Sabet-Eqlidi announced that the province was ready to host more cultural events.

Citing an example, the official said, “Last week, the grand final of the Iranian Family Choir League was held at the Saadi Cultural Complex, receiving an outstanding public response. »

Event tourism, the Director General emphasized, is one of the most crucial branches of tourism, widely used by the main countries in the sector.

Currently, historical and cultural sites in Fars province have become centers of national events, he added.

“Apart from the cultural and artistic events organized throughout the week, notably at the tombs of Hafez and Saadi,” underlined Sabet-Eqlidi. “We also organize national events at these historic sites. »

Furthermore, he announced that the upcoming summer tourism, cultural and religious events would soon be introduced and implemented.

The objective of these events, the official stressed, is to familiarize tourists and the target audience with the capabilities, capabilities and potentials of the Fars tourism sector.

Sabet-Eqlidi also spoke about an upcoming concert in Persepolis, assuring that all aspects of organizing such an event in a historical complex have been meticulously examined and supervised by cultural heritage and tourism experts in the province.

“Organizing events at historical and cultural sites provides a golden opportunity to attract more tourists and extend their visit duration,” he stressed. “Currently, Fars Province has become the center of such events, which undoubtedly has a significant impact on the development and economy of the province’s tourism sector.”

In addition, the official mentioned the upcoming International Festival of Multimedia Cultural Heritage. “According to our plans, this festival, one of the most important international events in the country, will take place in Shiraz this fall,” he continued. “It will undoubtedly play a crucial role in highlighting the historical, cultural and tourism potential of the province. »

Fars Province, located in the southwest of Iran, is a region steeped in history and culture, renowned for its rich heritage and numerous historical sites.
