Harish Rao urges CM to consider appeals of candidates for Group jobs and increase DSC posts

Senior BRS leader T. Harish Rao has asked Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to address the issues of unemployed youth, especially those appearing for the Public Service Commission group exams. the state.

In an open letter to the Prime Minister on Saturday, he said unemployed youth and group job applicants hoped that the government would understand their problem and take a positive decision during the cabinet meeting held on Friday.

Reminding the ruling party that it had promised to fill 2 lakh jobs in the first year of coming to power and would extend unemployment benefit of ₹4,000 per month, Mr. Harish Rao said that six months had already passed but there had been no significant progress in this direction. direction. Stating that the previous BRS government had filled 1.6 lakh government jobs in 10 years, the Group I and DSC exams adopted by the present government had become a source of worry for candidates due to certain problems.

Contrary to the demand made by the Congress when it was in opposition, the state government did not change the eligibility ratio from prelims to main from 1:50 to 1:100. He mentioned that during the rule of YS Rajasekhara Reddy, the ratio was increased to 1:100.

Most recently, the Andhra Pradesh government has increased the eligibility rate of preliminary jobs for Group II jobs from 1:15 to 1:100. Mr. Harish Rao also requested the government to increase Group II posts to 2,000 and Group III posts to 3,000 and DSC posts to 25,000 as promised, up from 11,000 for which a notification was issued.
