DRUGS, WEAPONS AND LARGE AMOUNT OF CURRENCY SEIZED AFTER JEWETT ROAD TRAFFIC STOPPED – 3B Media News

On June 20, 2024, Rhea County Sheriff’s Department patrol deputies observed a vehicle that matched the description of a suspect involved in a previous altercation involving a weapon in Cumberland County during a traffic stop on Jewett Rd. When the suspect vehicle passed the officers, it accelerated and drove off at a speed above the posted speed limit. Police were able to locate the vehicle in an alley behind a residence in the 400 block of Jewett Road. unoccupied. As deputies searched the area for the suspect, Christopher Garrison, identified as the driver, came out behind a building on the property. Officers checked the area where Mr. Garrison was hiding and located a weapon and narcotics. Deputies also found two other weapons and a large amount of U.S. currency in Mr. Garrison’s possession.

Mr. Garrison was charged with:

Speeding

Window tint violation

Possession of a firearm during the commission or attempt to commit a dangerous crime (X3)

Legendary drug possession

Possession of Schedule 1

Possession of Schedule 3

Possession of Schedule 4

Manufacture, delivery, sale or possession of methamphetamines

The deputies seized:

$2,895 in US currency

3 handguns

15 grams of psilocybin mushroom gummies

10.49 grams of methamphetamines

15 Alprazolam tablets in an unmarked pill bottle
