Ashley Graham Wears a Bold ’70s-Inspired Dress (with Metallic Makeup!) to Strut in the Fashion World: Paris Show

The model made her mark in Vogue World: Paris

Ashley Graham came to Paris to kill.

The 36-year-old model managed to strut her stuff on the Vogue World: Paris runway at Place Vendôme on June 23 when she stepped out in a bold ’70s-style purple dress and eye makeup bold matching.

Graham’s dress featured a fitted knit bodice with an asymmetrical neckline and a voluminous textured skirt that tapered at the ankles. She wore her hair straight and straight, and her makeup remained simple, except for the metallic eyeshadow decorating her lids.

For this year’s event, which paid homage to the intersection of fashion and sports, the event took viewers through the decades, narrated by both. Graham traveled through the 1970s, which honored gymnastics, as well as the Battle of Versailles charity event. The clothes paid homage to all of this and gave a nod to Studio 54 and the Palace.

The third edition of Vogue’The Vogue World: Paris clothing show, hosted by Cara Delevingne, brought together more than 500 athletes, artists, surprise guests and models, including Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid – who rode horses for the show – Paloma Elsesser and Amelia Gray Hamlin.

Vogue described the theme as a “collaboration with youth sports academies from across France” which will return to fashion over the decades, starting in the 1920s, in association with different sports, such as cycling, gymnastics, tennis , fencing and station wagon. The fashion show highlighted designers from yesterday and today, as well as fashion brands that traditionally present their collections in Paris.

Recently, Graham has been booked and busy, co-hosting VogueShe participated in the 2024 Met Gala livestream, working with Good American on its casting program and raising her three sons, Isaac, 4, and twins Roman and Malachi, 2, whom she shares with husband Justin Ervin.

She also just came out A children’s book about beautywhich is designed for children but offers a meaningful message for all ages about self-love and inner beauty.

“Whether I had kids or not, this would have been a project I would have said ‘yes’ to,” Graham, an advocate for body positivity and inclusiveness, told PEOPLE ahead of the book’s release on June 4.

Practicing affirmations is an important theme of the book and is something Graham teaches his children at home. “They’re these fearless little dinosaurs who really don’t know what life is at all (but) we make them say things out loud, like ‘I’m healed, I’m strong, I’m smart and kind.’ ” she says.
