‘Prophet’ who claimed God gave him a winning formula banned from casino after winning £23,000

As we all know, gambling is a game of chance with no guarantees – but apparently, when God is on your side, your winning potential is unlimited.

This is exactly why a series of casinos in Zimbabwe, South Africa, banned a guy who calls himself a “prophet” from entering their establishments.

Archbishop Emmanuel Mutumwa is said to have gotten his ticket into almost every casino in his vicinity because casino bosses fear that because he is supposedly God’s chosen player, he could clean them out financially.

The holy man, who is the leader of the Johanne Masowe eChishanu Apostolic sect, claimed to have managed to win a whopping £23,487 ($30,000) after receiving a vision from a higher power.

Although it’s not really a good idea to brag about how much money you just pocketed after visiting a casino and it risks becoming a big target for thieves, that’s exactly what ‘Mutumwa said.

He just couldn’t keep the good news to himself and bragged about his big victory to the locals.

Word eventually spread to other casinos, who have since decided to ban the so-called prophet from Zimbabwe’s venues due to his seemingly unfair advantage.

Mutumwa – who shares clips of the church services he leads on YouTube, where he has 1.3k subscribers – believes the move is completely unfair and can’t believe his lucky streak has already been forced to end.

He fumes: “They (the casino owners) claim that since I am a prophet, I receive visions from God about the winning numbers. They fear going bankrupt because I will win too often.”

Which, let’s be honest, isn’t exactly an irrational fear for the gambling bigwigs, seen as if the Lord had apparently revealed the winning formula to the gambler/prophet.

While explaining how the lucky numbers came to him, Mutumwa hit back at critics who suggested a man of God should not play.

He continued: “God works in mysterious ways. This victory was not a matter of luck, but a test of faith. I prayed for guidance and the Lord provided me with the numbers through a vision. N Isn’t it a blessing to use these earnings to uplift my congregation?

The archbishop reportedly used the money to pay school fees for local children who were members of his church, while also providing funds to fledgling businesses to help them advance.

I bet the Johanne Masowe eChishanu Apostolic Sect welcomed quite a few new members anyway following Mutumwa’s victory.

A manager at a nearby casino told local media that companies often restrict players’ activity or close their accounts if they appear to be winning repeatedly.
