Mark says he would consider becoming the next Golden Bachelor

While Mark Anderson didn’t get his happy ending while dating “The Golden Bachelorette” Bachelor nation favorite Joan Vassos said he would “definitely consider” becoming the next “Golden Bachelor.”

“I would definitely consider it, it was a fantastic experience for me,” Anderson told TheWrap after “The Golden Bachelorette” Men Tell All. “My daughter, Kelsey (and) Joey – they would never have met… it’s something to think about – I’m not exactly a nobody.”

If he is offered the opportunity to direct the next season of “The Golden Bachelor,” which has not yet been officially renewed by ABC, Anderson said he would think about the process and what he wanted before returning to his children and would talk to them.

Although Anderson had a pretty strong start with Vassos, his journey ended right before the hometown dates, when Vassos approached Anderson after their one-on-one date and told him that their bond wasn’t strong enough to meet his family.

“I was very grateful for the way she sent me home,” Anderson said. “I understood what she was saying, fully absorbed it, fully processed it and said, ‘I could have done better, right? I could have said a few more things, but I was good at it.”

Below, Anderson discusses whether he has any regrets about his time on ‘The Golden Bachelorette’ and what he thinks of Joey Graziadei’s performance on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ this season.

TheWrap: What was it like seeing Joan tonight? Was there something you wanted to tell her?

Anderson: When I left, I had a great chance that she sat down and talked to me and explained that it could have just been a rose ceremony and time for me to go… tonight (I just wanted) to thank her again for the trip. It was fantastic.

Is there anything you would have done differently when it came to opening up quickly?

It was, I think, the time – just knowing that you only have a limited time, like a few minutes, to really make an impact… if I had done it differently, I don’t know, I would have been myself, because I So I’m not – I’m a little slower.

What is something you know Joan taught you that you will take with you as you move forward?

The way we interacted, when she sat down to see me – when we spoke, there was a man’s mansion, but while she and I were talking… the communication was just right – it took care gone, any doubt that I had, is she really hearing what I’m saying?

It was so sweet to hear Jonathan share the post-its you wrote him. Why did you feel moved to write it to him?

That was a surprise; I didn’t know he would bring that up. But you know that morning when he came down, he did say “thank you.” It came from the heart, something he had to endure. I had actually done the same thing and I explained to him that I had done it, and it helped me create that value in myself and when you look at yourself in the mirror and say things to yourself, it’s different. That self-affirmation is so important and will help him through the moments he experiences. It was just something I could do at the time, so I did it.

What did you think of Joey’s performance on ‘Dancing with the Star Wars’ this season? What was your favorite performance of his?

He kills it. I think the rock and roll was fantastic, it should have had 10s.
