Escaped inmate arrested after escaping from Angleton prison, TDCJ says

ANGLETON, Texas (KIAH) — The inmate accused of escaping from an Angleton trust camp was captured after spending 10 hours on the run.

Texas Department of Criminal Justice officials said Kidanny Robles, 33, missed a count Saturday night and was found Sunday morning at a guest house less than five miles from the camp.

He was arrested at an empty guest house on Jamison Drive near County Road 290.

Robles was shot in the arm by a TDCJ captain during his capture and taken to a hospital for treatment. He will now face felony escape charges.

He is the third inmate to escape from the Texas Department of Corrections Clemens Unit in Brazoria County this year.
