Travis Kelce tells Brother Jason he was “defending your family” during a phone burglary

Jason Kelce will have forever Travis Kelce in his corner.

After the retired Philadelphia Eagles star37, went viral on Saturday, November 2 vandalizing a Penn State football fan’s phone who called Travis, 35, “a f—– dating Taylor Swiftand later repeated the homophobic slur to the fan, his younger brother responded to the incident during the Wednesday, November 6, edition of their New heights podcast.

“I know it’s weighing on you, brother. That sucks. You shouldn’t be feeling this much,” Travis said of the interaction that took place outside Beaver Stadium in State College, Pennsylvania, prior to Jason’s appearance on ESPN’s College GameDay during the Penn State-Ohio State game.

Travis said he believes people who “passed on the videos” of the incident created a “bigger situation than I think it actually is.”

“The real situation is that some clown came up to you and talked about your family and you responded in a way that defended your family, and you may have used a few words that you regret,” the tight said end of the Kansas City Chiefs.

“That’s a situation that you just have to learn from and manage. I think you owning the situation and you speaking out about it shows how genuine you are to a lot of people in this world,” Travis continued. “You don’t choose hate, that’s just not who you are.”

The NFL star ended his sentiments by telling his older brother, “I love you,” adding, “I think you said that perfectly.”

Travis’ comments came after Jason, who first discussed the incident during ESPN’s Nov. 4 edition Countdown on Monday eveningsaid on the podcast that he was “not happy with the situation” and that his response “made the situation public.”

The former football center said: “What I regret most is saying that word to be honest… the word he used is just ridiculous and it takes it to another level. It’s just wrong the wall, f—— over the line.”

“It’s inhumane and it got under my skin, it provoked a reaction,” Jason continued.

“In the heat of the moment I was like, ‘Hey, what can I say to him? I’m going to throw this s— right in his face. F— him,'” he said, admitting that he knows now that he ‘shouldn’t have done that’.
