In the United Kingdom, a nurse named Lucy Letby harmed lives.

British baby killer Lucy Letby said Monday she never intended or attempted to harm a baby in her care, while giving evidence at a retrial for attempted murder.

February 17, 2016. The 34-year-old former nurse is accused of attempting to kill a little girl, called in court Child K, at the neonatal unit at the Countess of Chester Hospital.

The jury was told that the jury in the first trial had been unable to reach a verdict on the attempted murder charge and so another round of trials would take place.

Prosecutor Nick Johnson alleged Letby moved the small infant’s breathing tube. This is an extremely important part of letting the baby breathe.

Child K was transferred to a specialist hospital later the same day as she was born extremely prematurely.
