After a scuffle with police, the youths were herded into a vehicle and taken to the Eco Garden. They alleged that the police also misbehaved with them, with one of the protesters suffering a fracture.

Police erected barricades to prevent protesters from starting to march towards the Legislative Assembly from the Samajwadi Party office. The police arrested them, after which the young people staged a sit-in.

In a memorandum to Governor Anandiben Patel, it was stated that there was a lot of anger among the youth regarding the rigging of NEET. A demand was also made to sack the BJP government over the paper leak.
