Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s epic romance has already inspired an upcoming Hallmark movie

(CNN) — Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s embrace on the field at the Super Bowl earlier this year looked like romantic magic. And now it has become exactly that.

Well…sort of.

Hallmark Channel, along with the NFL, Skydance Sports and the Kansas City Chiefs — also known as the team Kelce plays football for — announced Tuesday that they have joined forces to produce an upcoming holiday movie called “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love”. Story,” which is expected to begin production next month.

“Holiday Touchdown” follows Alana Higman (Hunter King), who “is sure her family’s history as Kansas City Chiefs superfans makes them a favorite to win the Kansas City Chiefs’ Fan of the Year contest.” team,” according to a press release. The team’s director of fan engagement, Derrick (Tyler Hynes), is tasked with assessing how Alana’s family stands, and “as the two spend time together, it’s It’s clear that there’s a spark between them.”

According to the release, the film will pay homage to the Chiefs’ hometown by filming entirely in Kansas City, including on the team’s home field, GEHA Field, at Arrowhead Stadium.

Romance took center stage at many Chiefs games last year, with Swift and Kelce becoming romantically involved in September and the pop megastar attending several games to support the Super Bowl champion, who is l The team’s star tight end.

Their relationship has since become a public spectacle as the couple is frequently seen at each other’s events. Most recently, Kelce made his stage debut at Swift’s London concert on Sunday, just a day after the duo went “Instagram official.”

While the plot of “Holiday Touchdown” isn’t exactly based on the ongoing romance between Kelce and Swift, it seems fair to assume that this Hallmark movie may have been inspired by it – especially considering the involvement of the Chiefs.

The announcement did not specify whether Swift and Kelce are directly involved in the project or gave it their blessing, but CNN has reached out to representatives for each for comment.

Christmas can’t come fast enough this year, it seems, with “Holiday Touchdown” sounding like a perfect homage to the so-called “Chiefties” everywhere.
