Bengals’ RB room ranks 30th in latest PFF rankings ahead of 2024 season

The 2024 NFL season is quickly approaching and the Cincinnati Bengals are currently gearing up for a bounce-back year after missing the playoffs last season.

Cincinnati has made numerous free agent acquisitions like Sheldon Rankins, Geno Stone and running back Zack Moss.

The Bengals also lost some key players like DJ Reader and running back Joe Mixon.

With the changes to the running back room, PFF ranked Cincinnati’s running backs 30th in its latest RB room rankings.

“The Bengals signed Zack Moss this offseason to replace Joe Mixon, who the team traded to the Texans. Moss posted consistent rushing grades in the 70.0s in each of his four seasons with a healthy yards per carry average around 4.0. Cincinnati also has Chase Brown, their 2023 fifth-round pick, to bring some extra speed to the backfield. Brown had a rough rookie season, recording a rushing grade of 59.0. »

Moss had a breakout season with the Colts, replacing injured Jonathon Taylor in 2023, totaling 183 carries for 794 yards and five touchdowns.

The Bengals also have a potential candidate in second-year running back Chase Brown.

Brown’s numbers weren’t mind-blowing during his rookie season, but he had some major flashes of true potential at the professional level.

The Bengals backroom doesn’t have any superstar names, but has guys who will work hard and help Joe Burrow move the ball down the field.
