Get your tissues ready for the inevitable tears from the 'YOU GOTTA BELIEVE' trailer

YOU MUST BELIEVE, the true story of a youth baseball team in need of rapid improvement and desperate for the inspiration that will take their team to the top. This inspiration comes from one of the player’s fathers who, after a health problem, fell ill. The team decides to dedicate their season to this sick dad and ends up going all the way to the Little League World Series. Phew… if that’s not made for cinema, I don’t know what is.

I wanted to start by saying something about the formulaic nature of these films but, damn, I’m not a cynic. These days I think a renewed spirit like YOU MUST BELIEVE This is exactly what many of us could use right now. Besides, can you really accuse something of being stereotypical if it’s based on a true story? Based on the Hollywood production, Little League Baseball is a bastion of drama unmatched anywhere else except in the love lives of urban, white, twenty-something, female magazine editors.
