Hugh Grant fans shocked by ‘late career phase’ as scary villain in new A24 horror

Hugh Grant fans have reacted to the first glimpses of the beloved British actor going against the grain as the villain in upcoming religious horror film A24.Heretic.

Grant, 63, is perhaps best known for playing charming romantic leads in hit romantic comedies including Notting Hill, Four weddings and a funeral And Bridget Jones’s Diary.

However, in HereticScheduled for release on November 15, Grant plays a man who captures two young Mormon missionaries (Sophie Thatcher and Chloe East) and then subjects them to a chilling series of tests and psychological games.

Grant has played a handful of more intriguing villainous roles in recent years, including in films such as Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, Gentlemen And Paddington 2.
