Baytown woman says she caught a man looking through the window of her boyfriend’s apartment on Rollingbrook Drive while she undressed

BAYTOWN, Texas (KTRK) — A Baytown woman says she was changing when she received an alert on her phone that motion had been detected on the porch, just outside the bedroom.

What she saw next was shocking and disturbing. Only ABC13 has obtained video of the alleged incident.

“I opened my phone to check and saw that a man was crouching in front of the blinds and looking inside the cracks,” said the woman, who wishes to remain anonymous for her safety. “I immediately wanted to call 911. I yelled pretty loudly that there was a man outside, and he didn’t react.”

The woman said she was undressing at her boyfriend’s apartment Sunday night when she received the notification. He lives on the first floor of an apartment complex on Rollingbrook Drive, where you have to climb to get to the porch.

“My biggest concern is that there are families with young children in this neighborhood. If it could happen to me, it could happen to anyone,” she said.

The man changes angles in the video and appears to be trying to hide under a chair. The woman says he was scared when she turned on the lights.

“I feel very uncomfortable. It makes me nervous to think that someone has been watching me for longer. Someone doesn’t just walk by and decide to intervene, someone could have observe me longer,” she said.

The woman called Baytown police and a deputy spoke with her. He said he would patrol the area that night, but she doesn’t know if he filed a formal police report.

ABC13 contacted the department to see if a report had been filed and if the man would face charges.

“It’s not trivial to go over someone’s fence, go around one side, and then move around to get a better look at the other side,” she said.
