711 Free Operations: Pastor Ashimolowo Announces Crusade in Ibadan, Christians, Muslims and Others Invited

IbadanOyo State—Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo has announced a six-day crusade from November 25 to 30, organized by his Christ Compassion to the Rural World (CCRW), which will take place in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

Speaking at a press conference at Liberty Stadium on Tuesday, November 5, Ashimolowo, Founder and Senior Pastor of Kingsway International Christian Center (KICC), said the event was themed:Ibadan: This is Love 2024,” will function five unique programs at Liberty Stadium.

Medical reach: 711 people receive free operations

Ashimolowo disclosed that the church partnered with four hospitals to conduct surgeries for 711 persons in Ibadan during the crusade.

He said 33 surgeons will perform minor and major operations, and CCRW will cover the costs.

“We instructed the surgeons to screen people for three to four days, and of the thousands who came, we instructed them that we could only afford 400 operations, which is not small money. Instead of 400 they ended up with 711,” Ashimolowo said Legit.ng and other media platforms during the press conference.

Medical Outreach for 100,000 to 150,000 people

In addition to the free surgeries, Ashimolowo said a two-day medical outreach will take place from 6am to 8pm, with a team of 200 doctors, 150 pharmacists and 100 nurses on hand to assist those in attendance.

The senior pastor explained that the outreach will provide comprehensive medical services including check-ups, prescriptions and pharmacy services.

“We will hold two days of medical examinations in Ibadan, and with these medical examinations, we will line up 200 doctors, about 150 pharmacists, about 100 nurses and other medical people,” Ashimolowo said.

“You will have to go through all the processes that you go through in a hospital. You will be checked, taken away and passed on to a doctor. The doctor will now give you the prescription and you will be directed to the pharmacy.”

Ashimolowo lists relief supplies for residents

Pastor Ashimolowo added that the CCRW has prepared substantial relief supplies, including beans, rice, noodles, cassava flakes, buckets, sugar, salt and oil, for distribution to residents.

He said tickets for collection of relief items during the crusade will be distributed every evening, while the actual distribution will take place the next morning.

CCRW: Ashimolowo speaks of miracles and healing

According to Pastor Ashimolow, the crusade will last four nights dedicated to healing and miracles for those attending, showcasing Jesus’ power of redemption and healing.

He said:

“On the 25th, the night of the crusade, we believe in the power of God every evening. We believe in salvation through Jesus Christ. We believe in stretching out the hand of God. We believe in what says: ‘And this is love, that they may know you, that we loved Him, because He loved us and gave His life.'”

Pastors must be trained during the crusade

Ashimolowo also announced that a School of Ministry will train five to ten thousand people pastors and servants of God during the Crusade.

To ensure adequate security and seamless logistics, Ashimolowo said the church has entered into arrangements with the Nigerian Police to ensure crowd control, transportation and traffic management.

He noted that there will be approximately 200 to 250 police officers on site.

Crusade not just for Christians – Ashimolowo

When asked if the crusade is only for Christians, Pastor Ashimolowo said everyone, including Muslims and followers of other religions, are invited and will benefit from the relief materials being distributed.

On why he is organizing the crusade despite the heavy financial burden that comes with it, the Osun State-born cleric said his motivation is rooted in his love for God, his desire to save souls and the belief that God will take care of him . people in times of trouble.

Ikorodu Crusade: Ashimolowo provides food to 30,000 households

Legit.ng recalls that in 2023, during the first edition of the CCRW Crusade, Pastor Ashimolowo relief supplies donated to thousands and funded surgical operations, provided food, clothing, books and other essentials to residents of Igbogbo area of ​​Ikorodu, Lagos State.

Ashimolowo said 2,000 people gave their lives to Christ, even under the rain on the first night of the crusade.
