Woman found with fatal injuries in Milton Keynes named by police

A woman who was found injured in a home and later died in hospital has been named by police as Carol Georgiou.

Ms Georgiou, 42, was discovered after ambulance services were called to a property in Holywell Place, in the Springfield area of ​​Milton Keynes, in the early hours of Saturday morning, Thames Valley Police said.

A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of murder on Sunday and has been in custody since.

A Home Office post-mortem has been carried out, but the cause of death is yet to be determined and further forensic tests are needed, police said.
