Long-standing memories make Ribfest cancellation disappointing

I just read Hilary Decent’s column about Ribfest in the Naperville Sun on June 23 and I completely agree with her. I was so disappointed to learn it wouldn’t happen this year.

I lived in Naperville for 34 years before moving to Florida almost three years ago and I can tell you that Ribfest was always something my family and I looked forward to around the 4th of July…rides and games for the kids and live music and a cold beer sitting on the Naperville Central High School baseball field. It was the best part of summer in Naperville!

Naperville was a great place to raise a family, but things seem to be changing, and not necessarily for the better.
