High pressure will briefly return to the region on Friday and Saturday. High temperatures Friday will rise into the 60s and 70s under a mix of sun and clouds. Saturday will be about 10° cooler under mostly sunny skies.

Hurricane Rafael is now moving into the southeastern Gulf of Mexico. Rafael made landfall in western Cuba as a Category 3 hurricane on Wednesday afternoon, according to the National Hurricane Center.
