Suniel Shetty, known for his own stunts, was injured during a fight scene on the sets of Hunter 2. The sequence, which involved multiple action performers and a wooden block prop, led to the tree trunk accidentally hitting Shetty in the ribcage due to a miscalculated move. A source confirmed the injury and said that Shetty was hit by the wood while filming an action sequence for the series.

The source told Pinkvilla, “Suniel Shetty was seriously injured on the sets of his next web series Hunter during an action sequence. He was hit in the ribcage by a wood during an action scene. Doctors and X-ray equipment have been called to the stage. Suniel is in extreme pain.”

Suniel Shetty took to Instagram Stories to update fans about his health. He wrote: ‘Minor injury, nothing serious! I’m absolutely fine and ready for the next shot. Thankful for all the love & care #OnSet.”

Hunter, starring Suniel Shetty as ACP Vikram, premiered on Amazon Mini TV last year and immersed viewers in Mumbai’s crime underworld. The series also featured Esha Deol and Jackie Shroff, with a strong supporting cast. Directed by Dhiman and Alok Batra, it followed Vikram’s tough challenges in the city. Besides Hunter 2, Shetty is gearing up for other big projects including Welcome to the Jungle where he will reunite with Akshay Kumar.

Directed by Ahmed Khan and produced by Firoz A. Nadiadwallah, Welcome To The Jungle has a big cast including Paresh Rawal, Johnny Lever, Raveena Tandon and others, besides Suniel Shetty and Akshay Kumar. The film, presented by Base Industries Group, will hit theaters around Christmas 2024.

Meanwhile, on a personal front, Suniel Shetty has purchased a property worth Rs 8.01 crore in Mumbai along with his son Ahan Shetty. This property is located in Khar West (Bandra), according to the documents obtained by Square Yards. The father and son reportedly purchased the property through a bank auction.
