The first Apple Vision Pro MBA program is now available worldwide

ToU CEO and co-founder Christian Rebernik uses the Apple Vision Pro headset

Picture this: You make yourself a cup of coffee in your kitchen, walk into your living room, and sit down on your couch. You put on your Apple Vision Pro headset, and within seconds, you’re transported to your global mixed reality classroom, complete with 3D visualizations and interactive simulations.

From the classroom, you and other MBA students are transported to the beaches of Thailand. As arranged by your instructor, a local government official greets your group upon arrival. She introduces herself and begins to explain to you and your cohort the complexities of ocean plastics as you look around and admire your new surroundings. You reach down to grab a tangle of fishing line and unnaturally colored trash debris, analyzing it and passing it to others nearby with your virtual hands.

For anyone who hasn’t heard the buzz, the Apple Vision Pro is the company’s first device that uses technology to merge digital content with physical space. Users navigate using their eyes, hands and voice — the kind of experience you can expect to have as an Impact MBA x Vision online student at Tomorrow University.

IMPACT MBA NOW AVAILABLE WORLDWIDE

ToU, an “impact university based in Berlin, Germany, is the first university to offer an online MBA with the key tool being Apple Vision Pro, and today (June 27) it announced that with Apple’s expansion, the school would also expand its program from just the United States to several major global locations.

Apple Vision Pro arrives in China, Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore on June 28, and Australia, Canada, France, Germany and the United Kingdom on July 12, just in time for the next ToU school year in September.

“Bringing people together from all over the world is something we really care about,” says Christian Rebernik, CEO and co-founder of ToU. “I think it’s a more immersive and better way to study. It keeps people connected.”

What’s most exciting is that having students from all over the world reflects the diversity found in the many real-world business environments that MBAs will encounter. For the next global cohort, Rebernik expects applications to at least double.

BREAKDOWN OF THE VIRTUAL CAMPUS

Their online Impact MBA cohort is limited to 30 students, and ToU even offers a virtual Metaverse campus where students work solo and in groups, much like one would on a physical campus.

“They can move around with their avatar, and when they’re face-to-face with someone, a video call starts with a real voice conversation,” Rebernik says. “It really brings people closer together.”

With Vision Pro, MBA students gain contextual clues that are not typically visible in a standard online environment.

“They’ll notice that others are looking at them. When they stand up, you’ll see their height. With online studies, you usually can’t get that kind of information,” Rebernik says.

This interaction format also eliminates the fatigue that comes with staring at a screen for long periods of time, he says.

Group sessions become work sessions where class participants can transport themselves to locations around the world, like the SpaceX factory, and engage with the mechanics, discussing how things work in this space.

This type of immersive experience allows students to engage deeply with the content, Rebernik says, and build their community in a way they often can’t do with a traditional online format.

The virtual landscape of the Impact MBA Online

This type of learning takes “looking at things from someone else’s point of view” to a whole new level. MBAs can record everything their avatar sees and does and share their recordings with others to share their perspective. Each student can also take notes in their own space and in shared group spaces.

HELPING MBAS FIND MEANING

“The butterfly in our logo represents the butterfly effect: everyone can come together to make a larger positive change,” Rebernik says. “That’s part of our mission.”

The university strives to help MBA graduates find meaning in their careers. They currently offer seven specializations and are adding seven more, such as AI and Data Leadership for Sustainability, Innovation for Sustainable Growth, and Innovation in Climate Solutions and Cleantech, to name a few.

Technology evolves and content production evolves as well. “We want to expand this technology to more programs in the future,” says Rebernik. As this technology is relatively new, ToU has technical support to help you with any difficulties.

According to Rebernik, members of the current cohort have become very close and “they help each other a lot.” ToU also offers MBA students a dedicated student success team that they can rely on.

STILL A PART OF THE ToU TRIBE

The MBA is designed to last a year and a half, “but if you have a lot of professional experience, you canou can complete the program in less than a year,” says Rebernik. “The structure also allows for breaks, because life is not linear, and we want to support that.”

If you were to choose an Impact MBA online from the group, chances are they would be between 25 and 35 years old and currently working. “Many of our MBAs consider themselves successful ‘but want to take it to the next level,’” shares Rebernik. Many of their students are looking to pivot their careers while working, which makes the part-time format a perfect fit.

The experience at ToU does not end once you graduate. “You will still be part of our tribe after you graduate,” Rebernik guarantees. Alumni will still have access to the app and community even after graduating.
