Barcelona believe Marc Guiu is already ‘lost’ and has ‘already decided’ to join Chelsea, while believing the striker is asking for too much money.

The Catalan giants are keen to secure Guiu a new contract, but their offer has been overshadowed by the offer he received from Chelsea.

Chelsea are now closing in on the teenage striker and are expected to complete a deal for him.

According to Catalan daily Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona now consider Guiu “lost” and believe he has “already decided” to go to Chelsea.

They believe that the fact that Guiu has been involved with the first team for several weeks has caused him to want more money than should be the case at his age.

Guiu has a €6 million release clause which Chelsea are preparing to trigger to take the young striker to Stamford Bridge.

The Blues believe that the young Spaniard represents an opportunity too good to pass up and are continuing their journey.

Guiu made three La Liga appearances for Barcelona last season, while the club also gave him two appearances in the Champions League.

The striker scored in a defeat against Belgian club Royal Antwerp.
