Travis Kelce has defended his brother’s use of homophobic slurs during an altercation with a football fan.

During ESPN’s College GameDay on Saturday (Nov. 2), former Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce was heard responding to a supporter who said, “Kelce, how does it feel that your brother is into a relationship with Taylor Swift?”

Kelce grabbed the man’s phone and threw it on the ground, asking, “Who the fuck is there now?”

He discussed the incident on the transmitter Countdown on Monday eveningsaying: “I am not happy with what has taken place. I’m not proud of it.” He admitted that he “chose to greet hate with hate” and sank to a level he should not have reached.

“You responded in a way that defended your family.”

Now Travis, who started dating Swift last year, has also spoken out about the incident. On them New heights podcast, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end said, “I know it’s weighing on you, brother. That sucks. That makes the situation bigger than I think it actually is.

“The real situation is that a damn clown came up to you and talked about your family. You responded in a way that defended your family and may have used words you regret.”

Jason “owned it,” his younger brother added.

‘That’s not who you are. I love you, brother. I think you said that perfectly,” Travis said, referencing Jason’s admission that he chose to “greet hate with hate.”
