First Alert Forecast: Timeout for weekend rain

First Alert Forecast: Timeout for weekend rain

Temperatures will cool behind Tuesday’s front, but we don’t expect a major drop in temperatures in the coming days. Instead, highs will return above average and into the upper 50s on Thursday and into the lower 60s this weekend. Morning temperatures will flirt with areas of frost, but should avoid frost conditions. Another cold front will move through late Saturday, increasing the chance of rain after sunset Saturday and sticking around through Sunday. Temperatures behind this front will be similar to our current forecast and trend in the 50s and 60s beginning Monday.

THURSDAY: Sun and some morning clouds. High 58F. Low 38F. Winds N at 5 to 10 mph.

FRIDAY: Mostly sunny. High around 60F. Low 37F. Winds WNW at 5 to 10 mph.

SATURDAY: The morning sun will make way for increasing clouds in the afternoon and evening hours. Small chance of showers in the evenings. Higher chance of rain tonight. High around 62F. Low 48F. Winds ESE at 5 to 10 mph.

SUNDAY: In the morning and early afternoon it will be mainly cloudy with occasional showers. Some sun late in the day. High 64F. Low 46F. Winds SSW at 10 to 20 mph.

OUR NEXT FIRST WARNING: We’re looking at Sunday as our next best chance for rain in Michiana. We’re drying and cooling off for Monday in the wake of a cold front that brought rain for the weekend. Temperatures will climb back into the high 50s for the rest of next week.
