Country Fest Announces Name Change to Hoofbeat

After 37 years of drawing country music fans to Cadott, a popular festival is changing its name.

Country Fest becomes Hoofbeat, the festival announced Friday evening.

Organizers say there is no change in ownership or crew and that the new name “better reflects its essence and future direction.”

“We’ve outgrown our humble beginnings,” festival promoter Wade Asher said in a press release. “It’s time to find a name that fits us like a pair of well-worn boots – a new anthem to rage against the ordinary.”

The 2024 event, which included performances by Jake Owen on Thursday and Keith Urban on Friday, was scheduled to conclude on Saturday.

The 2025 festival is scheduled for June 26-28 and will feature Lainey Wilson on stage. Tickets will go on sale when the full lineup is announced in the fall.
