Man murdered in Bain Town | News

A man was shot dead in Bain Town yesterday, police said.

The murder took place on Finlayson Street at around 9am.

Police said they found the victim on the ground in an area garden.

Chief Inspector Devon Robinson said the man was shot on another street but fled north along a railway line before collapsing in Finlayson Street.

He said police believe the victim was in his late 20s or early 30s.

Robinson urged anyone with information about the incident to contact police.

There has been a series of murders in New Providence over the past two weeks, with this latest incident bringing the number of murders in the country for the year to 105.

The toll is likely to soon surpass the 2023 total of 110 murders.
