Real Madrid ready to listen to offers for Fran Garcia

Fran Garcia will likely leave Real Madrid in the summer transfer window, with The Whites put the 24-year-old up for sale.

According to a report from Spanish media outlet SPORT, Fran Garcia has no long-term future at Real Madrid. The Whites re-signed the 24-year-old full-back in the 2023 summer transfer window but will listen to offers for him in the coming weeks.

Fran Garcia and his confusing journey at Real Madrid

Fran Garcia has been in and out of the starting XI after joining Real Madrid from Rayo Vallecano in the 2023 summer transfer window. Hailing from Bolaños de Calatrava, he began his youth career in his hometown before joining legendary Real Madrid The fabric division more than ten years ago.

The 24-year-old has progressed through the ranks The fabric before making his first-team debut for Real Madrid in December 2018. However, with the path to first-team football unclear, the Spaniard joined Rayo Vallecano on loan in September 2020 before completing a transfer permanent one year later.

The Spanish defender established himself as one of La Liga’s best full-backs during his time at Rayo Vallecano, spending three years at the Estadio de Vallecas before returning to Real Madrid last summer. However, the move didn’t go as smoothly as Garcia would have liked, with regular playing time very limited.

After that ?

While Fran Garcia has made 31 appearances, with one goal and six assists, he has played just 1,688 minutes, with Ferland Mendy being Real Madrid’s number one left-back. His playing time has dwindled in the second half of the 2023/24 season, with Ancelotti barely rotating the Frenchman.

It is therefore no surprise that big-name clubs have taken notice of Fran Garcia’s situation, with Borussia Dortmund among his potential suitors. The Spaniard is now close to leaving Real Madrid, just a year after returning to the Santiago Bernabeu, with Whites put it on sale.

Carlo Ancelotti and Florentino Perez disagree on the left-back position. Real Madrid would then be linked with Alphonso Davies and Miguel Gutierrez. Garcia has become the victim of this problem, with the 24-year-old Spanish full-back set to leave the Santiago Bernabeu.
