Taylor Swift Reacts to Simone Biles Using “Ready for It” for Floor Routine

The Olympic champion gymnast, 27, used Swift’s “Ready for It” track for the start of her floor routine during the second day of the 2024 U.S. Olympic Gymnastics Trials on Friday, June 28, and the superstar Pop, 34, shared her thoughts. on this subject.

“I’ve watched this so many times and I’m still not ready. She’s ready for this though👏👏👏🥇🇺🇸❤,” Swift wrote on X on Saturday, June 29, in response to a video of the routine posted by the NBC Olympics & Paralympics account.

In the clip, Biles begins her routine to Swift’s track from her 2017 album Reputationeven performing what one commentator described as the “world’s hardest tumble”—the triple-double—while the song was playing.

A seven-time Olympic medalist, Biles already made history in 2019 when she was the first woman to perform the tricky gymnastics move at the U.S. Gymnastics Championships in Kansas City, Missouri, that year.

The superstar gymnast also used Travis Scott’s track “Delresto (Echoes),” which features Beyoncé, during her floor routine on June 28 and her performance in the event helped her finish the first half of the women’s qualifiers in first place.

Her routines on floor, bars and vault allowed her to overcome some difficulties on the beam and finish in first place.

While Biles wowed the crowd at the Target Center in Minneapolis and was cheered on by her mother Nellie and her husband, Chicago Bears player Jonathan Owens, Swift delighted the audience during the final European leg of her Eras tour.

The singer is currently in Ireland, following celebrity-packed concerts in London, England, which even saw an on-stage appearance from her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce.

Performing at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium on Friday, June 28 and Saturday, June 29, Swift rocked the colors of the Irish flag during the 1989 portion of her Friday show, and the following day, she spoke to the audience about how she developed the fictional story for her pandemic-era fantasy-inspired album, Folklore, noting that it is connected to Ireland.

“Folklore in general only belongs to Ireland,” she told the audience after finishing her performance of “Cardigan.”

“I imagined the world of the album would be like Ireland. A narrative with a lot of different characters,” Swift added, referring to her stories on the album. “You have that in your head too. It’s very Irish, the storytelling.”
