NHL RFA Qualifying Offer Tracker: Nylander, Raddysh Among Notables Set to Become UFAs

The NHL offseason is here, and there are plenty of things to watch as free agency opens on Monday, July 1.

Among all of these scenarios is the plethora of pending restricted free agents who will not receive offers from their current team. The deadline for teams to issue qualifying offers is Sunday, June 30 at 5 p.m. ET.

One of the most notable and intriguing players on this list is Alex Nylander. The Buffalo Sabres’ 2016 first-round pick (8th) played 121 games in the NHL with the Sabres, Chicago Blackhawks, Pittsburgh Penguins and Columbus Blue Jackets. He has 49 points (24 goals, 25 assists) and a -11 differential in six career seasons, and scored 11 goals and 15 points in 23 games after being acquired by the Blue Jackets last season.

Another notable one is forward Taylor Raddysh. The 26-year-old has 225 career NHL games under his belt and spent the last three seasons with the Blackhawks. During his NHL career, Raddysh collected 73 points (36 goals, 37 assists). He had 14 points (five goals, nine assists) in 73 games last season. Raddysh has yet to make the Stanley Cup Playoffs, as his career has been spent almost entirely with Chicago, who hasn’t made the playoffs since 2020.
