“Silents Synced” combines classic silent films with rock music

Blue Starlite, an independent drive-in theater in Austin, Texas, announced its first national movie event series, Synchronized silencers, where classic silent films will be paired with rock music from Radiohead, REM, They Might Be Giants, Pearl Jam, Pixies and Amon Tobin.

Synchronized silencers Series 1 is the first in a multi-series produced by Blue Starlite Entertainment, the new content arm of the independent drive-in.

The content screenings will be distributed this fall through a partnership with independent event cinema distributor CineLife Entertainment, a division of Spotlight Cinema Networks, which now books independent theater and drive-in cinema networks nationwide.

Frank continued: “The question for independent movie theater operators is how to get people out of their homes and away from seeing Hollywood blockbusters. While traditional audiences will always be our lifeblood, music fans will increasingly strive for a shared experience.. They are a fundamentally new audience for all of us. Together with these essential artists and our distribution partner, CineLife Entertainment, we are looking to inspire people to gather in movie theaters and reinvigorate independent theaters in a whole new way to support them with engaging and unique events.

Blue Starlite has begun conversations with these artists’ management to reimagine these timeless silent films alongside their landmark albums and other selections from their catalogs.

Synchronized silencerss The first season will kick off in fall 2024 with Radiohead’s “KID A (2000) / Amnesiac (2001),” paired with Nosferatu (1923), with future films expected to follow every four months. A world first of Synchronized silencers “Radiohead: Nosferatu” will take place before its national launch in the fall.

REM Synchronized mufflers the film is expected to be distributed in early 2025.
