Megan Thee Stallion Releases Statement Regarding Dublin Show Cancellation

The rapper was due to perform at Dublin’s 3Arena on July 14.

Megan Thee Stallion has revealed she has cancelled her Hot Girl Summer dates in Glasgow, Dublin and Cologne due to the Dallas Mavericks qualifying for the MBA finals.

The rapper cancelled her Glasgow gig with just over a week’s notice before she was due to play the OVO Hydro.

Sharing the news on social media, the Houston rapper said: “With the Dallas Mavericks qualifying for the NBA Finals and the HGS Dallas show being moved, we have had to reschedule a few of our tour dates to accommodate the change.”

The 29-year-old has now announced additional concerts in the US, including one in Atlanta the day before she is due to leave for Scotland on Thursday.

While no further details about the new dates have been shared, the artist said she is still excited to visit and perform.

However, Glasgow ticket holders have been told their cancelled new date will take place at a different venue as the OVO Hydro undergoes a “complex construction project”.

Other dates will be postponed.

Fans were upset by the sudden cancellation and the lack of clarity on when a new date will be announced, with fans commenting under the post that they had not received any email notification about the cancellation from the venues or the artist directly.

Megan Thee Stallion’s Dublin date would have been the artist’s first Irish performance in two years.
