Woman charged after baseballs were stolen from Busch Stadium merchandise stand

ST. LOUIS – A woman faces felony charges several months after she was accused of stealing two expensive baseballs from a merchandise stand at Busch Stadium.

The St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office has charged Beck Raupp, 30, with one felony count of theft ($750 or more). The charges were filed Wednesday, although the alleged theft dates back to Aug. 17.

According to a probable cause statement obtained by FOX 2, a memorabilia stand employee informed officers that two baseballs were missing from the stand. The two baseballs were valued at $1,165 and $235, respectively.

A security team with the Cardinals reviewed surveillance footage that linked Raupp to the theft. Officers responded to stadium seats and found Raupp in possession of two baseballs in her pockets.

Raupp later admitted to taking over the baseball, according to the probable cause affidavit.

A warrant for Raupp’s arrest was issued Monday and a judge ordered a personal recognizance tape upon arrest, according to online court records in Missouri.
