This year’s event will be held at a new location, the Iola Car Show Grounds, 350 Chrome Place.

Visitors can ride in their favorite vehicles including patrol cars, fire trucks, ambulances, a tow truck, a SWAT vehicle, race cars, dump trucks, tractors and more.

Other activities include live music by Straight Whiskey Serenade from 4-7 p.m., a fire extinguisher simulator, K9 demonstrations, ThedaStar landing at 5 p.m. (availability and weather permitting), a demonstration by the county HazMat team, an automatic extraction demonstration by the Iola Fire Department,

There are also activities planned for children, such as face painting, Steve and Carl’s traveling snake shows and a dunk tank.

“We have received a lot of positive feedback from this event,” said Capt. Kevin Studzinski, organizer of Meet the Fleet and the Wupaca County Sheriff’s Office. “To be able to build so many amazing relationships, not only with the citizens and our youth, but also with our fellow officers and first responders, is a great experience to see and be a part of.”

In the past, many Waupaca County law enforcement agencies, fire departments, emergency medical services and others have participated in this event.

This event is free and provides an opportunity to meet many community partners and first responders.

Food and drinks will be available during the event.
