CHARLOTTE, N.C. – One man was killed Tuesday after a suspected shooting near Uptown Charlotte.

Police began an investigation on Winding Path Way near Seigle Point Drive. Officers found an unoccupied vehicle and several shell casings.

Shortly thereafter, officers responded to Davidson Street and E 12th Street around 9:10 a.m. Upon arrival, officers witnessed a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Charlotte firefighters and medics arrived shortly afterwards and pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Detectives are investigating the connection between the two incidents.
