Kanpur: A construction worker from Aligarh died by suicide by hanging himself during a video call with a woman on Wednesday evening.
The deceased, identified as Rinku Singh (25), hailed from Tarapur Iglas in Aligarh and was working in Barasirohi for the past few months. He had gone to his home for Diwali and returned to work two days ago. His brothers Shailesh and Chotu revealed that Rinku regularly chatted with young women.
Reports indicate that he had a video call with the woman on Wednesday evening. He later used a scarf to hang himself from a fan in the hallway. The next morning, his absence prompted a cleaning worker to conduct a check. When he discovered the body, he alerted local residents and police. tnn
