CONDIT TOWNSHIP – A 33-year-old Elliott man died from his injuries after his vehicle was involved in a traffic accident with another vehicle Thursday morning in Condit Township.

According to the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office, a passenger car driven by the victim was traveling southbound on County Road 1200 E when it ignored a stop sign at the intersection of 2500N, approximately 2 miles southwest of Thomasboro, and struck a Chevrolet 2500 pick-up. up hit with an attached truck. trailer.

The driver of the car was extricated from the car and later died from injuries sustained in the accident. The driver of the pickup truck did not seek medical treatment.

The crash remains under investigation by Champaign County Sheriff’s deputies.
