Cody Rhodes Promises To Be Ready For The Rock’s WWE Return – TJR Wrestling

Cody Rhodes Promises To Be Ready For The Rock’s WWE Return – TJR Wrestling

Cody Rhodes is once again embroiled in a heated feud with The Bloodline and he hasn’t forgotten what The Rock said to him after WrestleMania 40.

Cody Rhodes ended his story by defeating Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 40, but that was far from the whole story told in WWE.

The Rock appeared set to take Rhodes’ place against Reigns at WrestleMania before fan backlash caused WWE to change its mind. Instead, The Rock joined Reigns in The Bloodline and defeated Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins in the main event of WrestleMania night one.

After all was said and done, The Rock made it clear that he still has his eyes on Rhodes and many believe that these two men will be the main event of WrestleMania 41 in 2025.

Cody Rhodes Keeps His Eyes Open for Rock

Speaking on The Pivot Podcast, Cody Rhodes discussed when he might step into the ring again against The Rock and said whenever that happens, he’ll be ready:

The Rock told me he’d see me when he got back. My head’s been spinning every day since the day after WrestleMania, for the Final Boss, as The Rock is now called, for when his music starts. I’ll be in the same place I was before and I’ll be ready for him.

If he comes out like he did for WrestleMania, he’ll do the whole ‘Oh, I finally got out, I’ve been so busy’ thing, the dude was in a three-month training camp, he was focused, so I’ll be focused myself. If I could give you an estimate, I hope it happens next year.

Before that, Cody Rhodes will join Kevin Owens and Randy Orton at Money In The Bank in a huge six-man tag team match against Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline.
