Alexandra Daddario sells treehouse-inspired mid-century modern gem for .9 million

A year and a half after purchasing their 1950s modern LA home, new parents Alexandra Daddario and Andrew Form have parted ways with the pad. As reported by Mansion Globalthe White Lotus star and her film producer husband, who welcomed their first baby on Halloweenlisted the stylishly renovated Mandeville Canyon home in August. It officially changed hands earlier this week for $2.9 million.

Daddario and Form purchased the treehouse-inspired abode, which was built in 1959 by surfer architect Matt Kivlin, in May 2023 for $2.8 million. The previous owners were documentary filmmaker Lacey Uhlemeyer and her husband, Rendell Johnson, who ADVERTISEMENT‘s cameras inside for a tour. The Highlights of 2022 the transformative renovations that the duo tackled in collaboration with designer Claire Thomas. They sought to restore the mid-century home’s glory after a dated ’80s makeover. Uhlemeyer told ADVERTISEMENT that the beautiful, original design of the house still shined through, which is what ultimately drew her to the property. “What I saw, aside from the chocolate-brown painted ceilings and the stone-tiled bathrooms, was a very special post-and-beam architectural treehouse with floor-to-ceiling windows inviting in the beautiful, protected canyon views,” she said.

It seems the Mayfair witches actor did not change much or anything about the home. A loft area with 1960s-style green shag carpet, bare wood beams and a serene green master bathroom with a Japanese-inspired hammered copper bathtub are still present, see the listing photos. The light-flooded great room is lined with glass and is centered around a red tile fireplace that separates the kitchen and dining area from the living room. A wraparound veranda equipped for outdoor dining, a saunaand a cold dip round off the facilities in the tree-lined garden.

It’s unclear where Daddario and Form moved to, but the Percy Jackson actor shared a peek at her new baby childcare on Instagram recently; The room has high ceilings, exposed brick, floral print curtains and a built-in wardrobe sage green shelving unit.
