Prime Minister Modi, who had noticed the Indian captain’s Ric Flair-like strutting as he went to collect the World Cup trophy, curiously asked Rohit whose idea it was to perform the gesture.

Rohit had received the trophy from Jay Shah in a manner similar to the walk attempted by Lionel Messi after Argentina won the 2022 FIFA World Cup. It was originally an iconic walk performed by WWE legend Ric Flair.
