Four killed in road accident between Narayanghat and Mugling

Four people died early Friday morning when a microbus and a bus collided in Ward 29 of Bharatpur Metropolis along the Narayanghat-Mugling road section, police said.

All the deceased traveled in the microbus. Two other microbus passengers suffered serious injuries while four bus passengers suffered minor injuries in the accident, which occurred around 3am.

The accident involved a microbus traveling from Mugling to Narayanghat and a bus traveling in the opposite direction. Deputy Superintendent of Police Bheshraj Rijal, spokesperson for the Chitwan district police station, said the deceased included a man from Gorkha and a woman in her 40s. The remaining two victims, aged 32 and 35, have yet to be identified.

The microbus driver is being treated at Bharatpur Hospital. The bus helper, Bhoj Bikram Shah, 30, from Ward 32 in Kathmandu Metropolitan City, suffered minor injuries, while two other bus passengers were discharged after treatment.

The cause of the accident is being investigated, DSP Rijal said.
