Message from CU NIL Director on EA Sports College Football 25 Cover, Travis Hunter

EA Sports College Football will be released on July 19th. Fans, players, and football enthusiasts are all over it and Colorado star Travis Hunter is front and center on the cover. His ability to play both sides of the ball will surely make him a unique player to control while playing this beloved video game.

Luckily for Hunter, the Colorado NIL director has big plans to throw a party once the above date is reached. A key CU NIL administrator had some comments about the celebration.

“We are excited to commemorate the launch of College Football 25′ and provide our student-athletes with a platform to showcase their playing talents,” Natalie Sharp, executive director of 5430 Alliance, said in a statement (h/t On3). “Featuring one of our own student-athletes on the game’s cover is incredibly special, and this release is an exciting opportunity to celebrate the evolving landscape of NIL opportunities. Fans can look forward to competing against familiar faces from the game, bridging the gap between virtual gaming and real-world sport in a unique and enjoyable experience.”

The benefits Hunter and the entire Colorado football program are receiving are unimaginable, and it’s a great reflection on the school, especially its brand.

Hunter shares the spotlight with Michigan’s Donovan Edwards and Texas’ Quinn Ewers, both of whom deserve the opportunity.

There has been speculation, but Ewers believes Hunter would be the closest to a 99 overall rating, which is high praise. The chances of anyone in a college video game receiving that rating are slim to none, but more likely, zero.

“I don’t know if they’re going to put anybody at 99 (overall), but if they do, I think he’ll be the closest to that,” Ewers said (h/t) Athlon Sports).

Yes, it would be cool to have a player ranked that high, because many players would likely choose the Colorado Buffaloes as their team – and maybe fight for it, too.

Regardless, Hunter has etched his name into video game history as this cover will remain forever etched.

He’s poised for a huge season this fall — Skip Bayless believes in itas countless other analysts do.

Hopefully Hunter can achieve victories on and off the field, playing with his teammates, friends and family.
