Judge reverses recent appointments of Dolton Mayor Tiffany Henyards

A Cook County court has reversed some of Dolton Mayor Tiffany Henyard’s decisions.

DOLTON, Ill. – A Cook County court overturned some of these cases Dolton Mayor Tiffany Henyard‘s decisions.

Bee Wednesday village council meetingHenyard announced temporary 30-day appointments for police chief, village attorney, special counsel and executive assistant. But on Thursday, a district court judge ruled that Henyard’s appointment of Michael Smith as executive assistant was not valid. The appointment as special counsel was also declared invalid.

This is part of the ongoing tug-of-war between Henyard and the board members.
