Former top actor forced to live and work in nightclub in shocking conditions

Actor for 30 years Kang Cheolonce a familiar face on television for his roles in Love and Warworks in a nightclub to make ends meet. Despite his acting background, the need to survive has led him to take on various menial tasks at a Seoul nightclub.

Recently featured on the MBN documentary program Exclusive World, Kang opened up about his life behind the scenes. Known for playing cheating husbands in the popular drama, Kang humorously describes himself as “the first business actor among talents.“

He remembers being recognized by strangers in markets and on the streets, often called “the actor of the case” Or “Love and War actor.”

These days, Kang’s daily life involves serving snacks and drinks to customers, a far cry from the glamorous world of cinema.

But what shocked the audience the most was Kang’s accommodation. Instead of going home after work, Kang stayed in a small storage room at the club. His workload was so demanding that he found it more convenient to live there.

Meanwhile, his wife expressed frustration over their financial difficulties, saying she had taken on the burden of managing the household finances due to Kang’s failures.

Despite the difficulties, Kang remains committed to the nightclub.I have too many regrets to stop now,” he admitted. “If we wait a little longer, I hope to provide a better life for my family.“
