Hoshiarpur youth arrested with 106 grams of heroin in Kalka

A 24-year-old youth from Hoshiarpur was arrested with 106 grams of heroin in Kalka on Friday.

Police said the accused has been identified as Prabhjot Singh alias Prabh. He was driving a Hyundai Creta when police stopped him for checking near Zaika restaurant in Kalka. While searching his car and frisking him, police recovered 106 gm of heroin and ₹$1,730 in cash, from a purse tied around his waist.

The young man was arrested and booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act at Kalka police station on Friday. Police are investigating the source of the smuggling.
