Jim Ross confirms his health status after recent emergency room visit

Jim Ross has dedicated decades of his life to the business and remains a vital part of AEW. Recently, he has been dealing with health issues, including emergency room visits. Ross has now given an update on his health, reassuring fans of his condition.

Earlier this year, Jim Ross signed a one-year deal with the company and has appeared at every major AEW pay-per-view since then, including the company’s most recent event, AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.

During his appearance on Grilling JR, Jim Ross was asked about his health after his recent visit to the emergency room. Jim Ross shared that he had a respiratory infection, which caused him to be short of breath, but that he had managed to recover. He mentioned the convenience of living just minutes from the Jacksonville Beach hospital.

It was a tough week for him, as he had just returned from Oklahoma where he spent some time in the hospital. Back in Jacksonville, he noted how busy he was, appreciating staying busy because it made him feel like he was contributing.

“I had a respiratory infection and had to deal with shortness of breath but I got through it. Living just minutes from the hospital in Jacksonville Beach helped. It was a tough week, I just got back from Oklahoma where I spent time in the hospital. Now I’m back in Jacksonville as you can see by looking at my background. I like to keep busy and feel insecure if I’m not contributing to my cause so I keep busy. Regardless, I had a great time on Long Island.”

Jim Ross has also made it clear that he’s not a fan of AEW pay-per-views going on too long. Regardless, it’s good to know that good ol’ JR is healthy again as he’s finally able to do what he loves most.
