Vista Prairie announces expansion in Alexandria – Alexandria Echo Press

ALEXANDRIA — Vista Prairie Communities has announced an expansion of Vista Prairie Senior Living at Windmill Ponds in Alexandria, adding nursing and memory care suites.

This development follows Vista Prairie’s acquisition of the adjacent property, formerly known as Diamond Willow.

The new memory care and treatment suites are designed to enhance the quality of life for Vista Prairie residents by providing specialized care and support. These additions allow Vista Prairie to offer a broader range of services.

Memory Care: Memory care units are designed to support individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. With specially trained staff, secure environments and engaging activities, Vista Prairie is committed to providing compassionate, personalized care.

Care Suites: Care suites provide a comfortable and supportive environment for residents requiring more advanced medical care and assistance with daily activities. Vista Prairie’s comprehensive care plans are designed to promote independence while ensuring residents receive the attention they need.

At Vista Prairie at Windmill Ponds, seniors can thrive by experiencing the Aspire — Life on Purpose model of living. This approach ensures residents live meaningful and fulfilling lives, promoting overall well-being and personal growth, according to the care facility.

“We are excited to expand our Windmill Ponds community and enhance our service offerings,” Jim Bettendorf, president and CEO of Vista Prairie Communities, said in a news release. “This acquisition allows us to provide even better care and support to our residents, creating a more comprehensive and inclusive environment.”

Our newsroom sometimes publishes articles under the byline “staff.” Often, the byline “staff” is used when rewriting basic news stories from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, that require little or no reporting. Sometimes, this byline is used when a news story includes multiple authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported information from a variety of sources. If outside sources are used, this is indicated in the story.
