Ola Electric has announced a 72-hour limited period offer on its range of electric scooters for this festive season. Here’s what the EV maker is offering:

The Ola S1 X (2 kWh) electric scooter is now available at Rs 49,999 (ex-showroom including Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme 2024). This offer is available while supplies last. Other models like S1 X (3 kWh), S1 X+, S1 The flagship S1 Pro electric scooter gets an exchange bonus of Rs 5,000. Additionally, the company is offering offers worth Rs 25,000 which include an 8-year or 80,000 km battery warranty worth Rs 7,000 and up to Rs 6,000 worth of MoveOS feature upgrades. Benefits of up to ₹5,000 on select credit card EMIs are also offered.

The Ola S1 X (2 kWh) electric scooter has a 2 kWh battery, offering a claimed range of 84 km in Eco mode and 71 km in Normal mode. It is powered by a 2.7 kW engine with a peak power of 6 kW or 8 hp and a top speed of 85 km/h.

The S1 X gets a telescopic fork and dual shock absorbers. For braking, it has drum brakes at both ends and rides on 12-inch wheels. It has a 4.3-inch LCD instrument console and the scooter is equipped with full LED lighting and three riding modes: Eco, Normal and Sport. However, it lacks Bluetooth phone connectivity. It also gets 34 liters of under-seat storage. The S1 X competes with the Hero Electric Optima, Okinawa PraisePro and Ampere Magnus EX.

Recently, the electric vehicle manufacturer has faced backlash from the public due to reliability issues with its scooters, causing service centers to be overwhelmed with resolving these issues and leaving customers extremely dissatisfied. The company has also received notification from the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) as approximately 10,644 complaints have been registered on the National Consumer Helpline since September 2023.
