Jude Bellingham and Lando Norris send heartfelt message to Bukayo Saka after England’s Euro 2024 win

Bukayo Saka has been showered with praise after England’s Euro 2024 quarter-final victory over Switzerland. The 22-year-old winger saved the Three Lions’ title dreams with a spectacular strike from distance moments after going behind.

With fifteen minutes left, Breel Embolo struck England’s final blow to give Murat Yakin’s men the lead. Just five minutes later, Saka equalised with a curling shot from outside the box, sending England into extra time.

England managed to hold on and had to settle for a penalty shootout. Gareth Southgate’s side won 5-4, thanks to spot-kicks from Cole Palmer, Jude Bellingham, Saka, Ivan Toney and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

After the match, the Arsenal star celebrated the win with an Instagram post that garnered over 750,000 likes in just 12 hours. Saka posted a picture of himself holding the man of the match trophy, with the caption: “GOD’S CHILD (angel emoji)!!”

By Sunday lunchtime, more than 20,000 people had commented on his post to praise his brilliant performance, but a few stood out. Lando Norris, Gordon Ramsey and Skepta all congratulated Saka on helping England reach the semi-finals.

Meanwhile, Bellingham dedicated an Instagram post to the Gunners talisman. The Real Madrid midfielder wrote: “Rocks on this guy, what a player!”
